I am passionate about working with individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I have experience working with relationship issues/communication, general anxiety, major depression, suicidal thoughts, and traumatic life events. I also have experience working with expecting and new mothers; as well as, those struggling with grief/loss from a miscarriage. Having difficulty with communication in you relationship? Struggling with quieting your mind? Having a hard time getting out of bed in the morning? Struggling to move past a stressful event? Together we can walk you down a path to healing.
These are Kristen's "co-counselors." You may see them pop up during your session from time to time.
Kristen uses evidence-based clinical interventions, including, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, strengths-based, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Kristen's approach to therapy is collaborative. She believes you are the expert on yourself. She will meet you where you are, but challenge you when it is needed. Together, you will walk down a path towards healing!
Kristen considers herself to be laissez-faire. Your therapy is dependent on you and what works best for you. She provides a warm, humorous, and comfortable environment to work through all of life's struggles.
